What’s Needed to Rent A Property?
Okay so you want to rent a home, at times the search for an apartment can be stressful but, we’re here to help! Before you do anything, you should make sure you have these simple items taken care of:
Two forms of identification
Four of your most recent check stubs
A background check
A credit check
First, Last, and Security
You might ask, what if I don’t have some of these items or cannot get them? Well, then you may need to take a few extra steps, but don’t worry, you still may be able to rent. Most landlords want to know that their property is in good hands and will be paid on time. If you recently started a job, a letter of employment as well as your salary may suffice. If you have no or bad credit, getting a co-signer (guarantor) may be in your best interest. This person or company will be responsible for paying rent if you cannot and their credit may suffer if rent goes unpaid.
As for the rest, your situation might require special attention and we recommend coming into our office or contacting us via phone or email.
